About Me: Tom Iseman is the Director of Water Scarcity and Markets Strategy in the Global Water Program of The Nature Conservancy. Based in Denver, Colorado, he is working in water scarce regions around the world to protect and restore rivers and wetlands while providing water security for communities and agriculture. The team is developing and employing new investment models, including water markets, to achieve conservation and social goals. Tom has over two decades of experience in resolving water scarcity challenges and helping communities adapt to change in the water resource sector. Most recently, he served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Water and Science in the U.S. Department of the Interior, and before that he led the water program for the Western Governors’ Association.
